Adrenalina Tours is one of the most experienced tour operators in Guatemala. Adrenalina Tours was founded in 1997 by the Belgian Patrick Eric Vercoutere. Before Patrick came to Guatemala he created a project for street children in Colombia, where he lived and worked for 12 years. He has a wide travel experience in South and Central America. He travelled through Brazil, Colombia, Honduras, Mexico and Guatemala. Patrick speaks Dutch, English and Spanish.

In 2004 Pieter Bas van Duuren from the Netherlands joined Adrenalina Tours. Pieter Bas lived and worked in Guatemala for over two years – first as part of his study, later in the tourism industry. He strengthens the Adrenalina team with his broad experience in tourism and travelling within Central America.

Adrenalina Tours works with young Quetzaltecos, some of which have been part of the team since the beginning, and while others have recently joined the company. Other employees work independently for Adrenalina Tours, such as drivers and guides. Adrenalina Tours only (and intentionally) works with local people and ensures that they are continuously trained in the areas of anthropology, archaeology, history, and first-aid. They have also learned how to speak English.

    Reservation Policy

    At the moment of reservation a 50% payment is requiered to be able to start processing.

    Cancellation Policy

    In case of cancellation more than 90 days before departure: the file costs (handling fee USD 200).
    In case of cancellation between 90 and 60 days before departure: 20% of the travel amount. In case of cancellation between 60 and 32 days before departure: 75% of the travel amount plus the insurance premium. In case of cancellation within 31 days before departure and no-show (not present on the day of departure): 100% of the travel amount.
